Celebrating With Ajinomoto Products

1. Seafood Pumpkin Tofu

Ingredients:

1 block Japanese pressed tofu, cut into 2
1/2 cup Corn starch
Enough Cooking oil
75 g Dried scallops, soaked in hot water and loosened
175 g Pumpkin, steamed and grind until smooth
1 cup Water
100 g Prawn, skin removed, deveined and cleaned
1/8 tsp AJI-NO-MOTO®
1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions:

  1. Mix 1 tbsp of cornstarch and mixed with 2 tbsp of water and keep aside for thickening sauce later.
  2.  Lightly coat the Japanese pressed tofu surface with the remaining corn starch gently.
  3. Heat cooking oil in a pan, arrange firm tofu in the pan and pan-fried each side of the tofu until golden and fully cooked. Arrange in serving plate and keep aside.
  4. In another wok, add 3 tbsp of cooking oil then add in dried scallop. Stir fry until browned and fragrant.
  5. Add in pumpkin puree, water and prawn. Let it simmer for 20 minutes.
  6. Season with AJI-NO-MOTO® and salt. Stir well.
  7. Add in corn starch mixture and let it simmer until the sauce slightly thickens.
  8. Pour the pumpkin sauce over the pan-fried tofu.
  9. Ready to serve.

2. Pistachio Cookies

Ingredients:

1 packet Seri-Aji® Tepung Goreng Pisang 150g
100 g Ground pistachio
30 g Icing sugar
1/4 tsp Baking soda
75 ml Cooking oil

Toppings:

15 g Edible dried rose petals, crushed into small flakes
25 g Ground pistachio
75 g White chocolate, melted

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
2. Combine all ingredients EXCEPT cooking oil in a bowl together with Seri-Aji® Tepung Goreng Pisang 150g. Mix well.
3. Add in cooking oil and knead until it forms into a dough.
4. Scoop 1 tsp dough and roll into a ball. Gently flatten it with a fork.
5. Bake for 8 minutes at 170°C or until golden brown. Let it cool.
6. Dip ¼ to ½ part of the cookies with white chocolate and sprinkle with ground pistachio and edible dried rose petals. Let it set before storing.
7. Ready to serve.
8. Tips: Do not over-knead, it may cause your cookies’ texture to be hard. Cooking time depends on the heat distribution in your oven.
