What is e-Invoice?

An e-Invoice is a digital representation of a transaction between a supplier and a buyer (registered Ajinomoto Malaysia Berhad customer via www.smartcooking.com.my), which requires verification from the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia (IRBM) before being issued to customers. It includes essential details such as the supplier’s and buyer’s information, item descriptions, quantities, prices (before tax), taxes, and total amount. These records capture transaction data crucial for business operations.

In the context of Ajinomoto Malaysia Berhad, the implementation of the e-Invoice initiative is to replace printed bills with electronic invoices in PDF format. This includes a variety of documents such as sales invoices, Consumer Connection Charges (CSP), processing fees, credit notes, debit notes, and refund notes.

According to the IRBM, the e-Invoice offers several benefits, including enhanced business efficiency, reduced manual effort and human errors, streamlined tax filing, and digitised tax and financial reporting.
