Melt the margarine in a pre-heated pot, stir-fry the cinnamon stick, star anise, cardamom and pandan leaves until fragrant.

Add the red onion, garlic and ginger, then stir-fry until aromatic and golden brown.

Add the basmathi rice and stir-fry briefly then transfer to an electric rice cooker.

Add Seri-AjiĀ® Chicken Flavoured Fried Rice Seasoning 72g, pour in water, evaporated milk and sweet corn kernels. Stir well, switch on the cooker and let it cook.

Sprinkle with fried shallots and coriander leaves. Ready to serve.

Tips: After the rice is cooked, use a fork or chopsticks to fluff the rice to prevent it from breaking apart.
